I See Your Masterpiece Showing!
This young lady has a great vision and is poised to truly impact the world. Read more about her goals and vision below.
My name is Faith Ogungbe. I am currently a student at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL getting my Master of Science degree in Biotechnology. I graduated from Northwestern in 2017 with my Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology concentrating in Human Biology with a minor in Business Institutions. My long-term goal is to be an active agent in ensuring that access to good healthcare is something that becomes a right and that everyone, regardless of background, has equitable access to it. I believe that this is a big dream—one that will take the cooperation of policy-makers, medical and public health professionals, and researchers, pharmaceutical companies, and engineers developing the drugs, medical devices, and therapies of the future to make it a reality. Because it is my dream to see this happen and be an advocate for those that may need one, with my Biotechnology degree, I am electing to do a Global Health and Sustainability Certificate where I will focus on some of the problems globally and environmentally that are the cause of poorer health outcomes for people and the planet. With this focus and learning about these issues, I hope to also learn more about how to properly think about and bring to fruition solutions that are specifically tailored to alleviating them. It is my belief that GOD has gifted us all in many ways to better society, be good stewards of the Earth, and be a help to one another, and I feel strongly that this is one of the areas that I am called to do that in.
